Buy the Field: Hope That Builds While the Walls Are Falling | Bishop Vincent Mathews

What do you do when everything around you looks like it is collapsing, but God tells you to keep building?

In Buy the Field, Bishop Vincent Mathews teaches from Jeremiah 32–33 about faith that refuses denial, fear, and fatalism. Jerusalem was under siege. Jeremiah was in prison. The future looked hopeless.

Then God told him to buy land.

Jeremiah purchased property that had already been overtaken by the enemy. He signed the deed, paid real money, called witnesses, and preserved the documents for a future generation.

Why?

Because God had promised that destruction was not the end of the story.

IN THIS MESSAGE:

• Jeremiah 32–33 and hope during collapse

• Why telling the truth can bring opposition

• How God speaks while you are still in the trouble

• The difference between fear, fatalism, denial, and faith

• Why biblical hope does not require pretending everything is fine

• Buying the field while the city is under siege

• Obeying God before you fully understand

• Why faith sometimes requires a real transaction

• Building something you may not personally live to enjoy

• Trusting God’s timeline instead of your own

• “Is there anything too hard for Me?”

• Jeremiah 33:3 and calling on God for things you do not know

• Why God must fortify you before taking you into fortified places

• Focusing on the piece of ground God has placed in front of you

Jeremiah spent decades warning a nation that refused to listen.

He could not save the entire country.

But God gave him a field.

That field became a statement:

I still believe God has a future.

Sometimes you cannot fix the nation.

But you can strengthen your family.

You can build your church.

You can serve your neighborhood.

You can protect children.

You can support families.

You can build something that will still matter after you are gone.

Faith is not pretending the siege is not real.

Faith sees the siege and still buys the field.

Then God tells Jeremiah:

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

There are things your intelligence cannot discover.

There are doors your strength cannot open.

There are realities God must reveal.

So call Him.

Trust Him.

Obey Him.

And stop concluding that God has failed simply because the promise has not happened on your schedule.

If God has proven faithful with the hard word, trust Him with the good word too.

The walls may be falling.

But God is still building.

Buy the field.
