When Worlds Collapse Part 4: Birth Pains of a Dying World | Bishop Vincent Mathews
When Worlds Collapse Part 4: Birth Pains of a Dying World | Bishop Vincent Mathews
The world may look like it is falling apart, but Jesus said something is being born.
In Part 4 of When Worlds Collapse, Bishop Vincent Mathews teaches from Matthew 24:4-8 and connects Jesus’ warning about the birth pains of the last days with the power of the Resurrection.
Jesus said:
“Take heed that no one deceives you.”
Before He mentioned wars, famines, pestilences, or earthquakes, Jesus warned His disciples about deception.
That matters.
Deception rarely arrives looking completely false.
It often mixes enough truth with error to make the lie believable.
IN THIS MESSAGE:
• Matthew 24:4-8 and the beginning of birth pains
• Why deception is one of the greatest dangers of the last days
• How truth can be subtly reshaped
• Why influence without the cross is dangerous
• Jesus refusing Satan’s offer of power without sacrifice
• Why the cross was not an interruption of Christ’s mission
• The cross was the mission
• Grace that produces transformation
• Faith that produces obedience
• The danger of building identity without Christ
• Choosing conviction over popularity
• Why biblical truth must remain higher than cultural pressure
• How to recognize and resist deception
• Why believers need the Word of God and spiritually grounded community
• Galatians 6 and the law of sowing and reaping
• Why believers must not grow weary in doing good
• Romans 8 and resurrection power working in believers
Every generation is offered the same deal:
Influence without sacrifice.
Power without obedience.
Acceptance without conviction.
A crown without a cross.
Jesus rejected that deal.
He chose the cross.
And on Friday, it looked like everything had collapsed.
Jesus was rejected.
Beaten.
Crucified.
Buried.
The disciples were confused.
Hope appeared to be dead.
But Friday was not the end.
Sunday came.
The Resurrection proves that pain does not get the final word.
Your struggle does not get the final word.
Your disappointment does not get the final word.
Your rejection does not get the final word.
Since Jesus conquered death, nothing you are facing has the authority to write the final chapter of your story.
The birth pains are real.
But birth pains are not death pains.
Something is coming.
So what should believers do?
Do not be deceived.
Do not compromise.
Do not lose heart.
Stay in the Word.
Test what you hear against Scripture.
Surround yourself with people who will speak biblical truth into your life.
Keep sowing into the Spirit.
Keep doing good.
Keep carrying the cross.
Because the empty tomb proves:
Truth wins.
Christ reigns.
And life comes after pain.
