When Worlds Collapse Part 10: Faithful Until He Comes | Bishop Vincent Mathews

Jesus is coming back. The question is not whether we can predict the date. The question is whether He will find us faithful when He comes.

In Part 10 of the When Worlds Collapse series, Bishop Vincent Mathews teaches from Matthew 24:36-51 and challenges believers to remain faithful, watchful, and active while waiting for the return of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour.

That uncertainty is not designed to produce speculation.

It is designed to produce consistency.

In the days of Noah, people were eating, drinking, marrying, and living ordinary lives while something world-changing was approaching. Their problem was not simply open rebellion. They became spiritually unaware.

The same danger exists today.

We can become so focused on careers, education, money, marriage, entertainment, comfort, and simply building a normal life that we forget:

The Kingdom of God is at hand.

This message asks a direct question:

What should Christians be doing while we wait for Jesus to return?

Bishop Mathews examines the difference between the faithful servant and the evil servant in Matthew 24.

The evil servant becomes careless.

The faithful servant keeps serving.

The evil servant assumes the Master is not coming.

The faithful servant continues doing what God assigned.

The evil servant becomes consumed with self.

The faithful servant remains full of faith.

This message explores:

• Why no one can predict the exact return of Jesus Christ

• What Jesus meant by the days of Noah

• Why normal life can become spiritually dangerous

• Why proximity to church is not the same as spiritual preparedness

• The difference between the faithful servant and the evil servant

• How discouragement can lead to spiritual drift

• Why worldliness begins in the mind before it appears in behavior

• How faith produces faithfulness

• Why serving God can be difficult

• How to keep serving when people disappoint, criticize, or reject you

• Why believers must remain active in ministry and community

• Why every Christian has a role in addressing the brokenness around them

• How God uses ordinary believers as part of His solution

• What it means to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant”

Faithfulness is not what you do when everyone is watching.

Faithfulness is what you continue doing when no one is clapping.

Faithfulness keeps serving when you are tired.

Faithfulness keeps loving when people are ungrateful.

Faithfulness keeps obeying when you are misunderstood.

Faithfulness keeps working because God called you, not because people appreciate you.

This message also challenges the church to confront the real needs around us including spiritual deception, family breakdown, poverty, education, violence, addiction, maternal health, incarceration, mental health, elder neglect, and community instability.

We cannot ask why God is doing nothing about suffering while ignoring the people He has called to do something about it.

God works through people.

We are His hands.

We are His feet.

We are His servants.

You may not be able to solve every problem.

But you can do something.

The goal is simple:

When the Master returns, may He find us doing what He called us to do.

Faithful until He comes.
