Advance 2026: The Advance Rhythm Part 3 | Bishop Vincent Mathews
You were never designed to advance alone.
In Advance 2026: The Advance Rhythm Part 3, Bishop Vincent Mathews focuses on one of the most important elements of the Advance Rhythm: PEOPLE. If you are going to move forward with God, you must become intentional about family, friendships, community, proximity, boundaries, and the people you allow to influence your life.
The foundation remains Deuteronomy 2:1-3:
“You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward.”
Moving forward requires more than leaving old places.
It also requires examining who is walking with you.
IN THIS MESSAGE:
• Why advancement is relational
• Why isolation can sabotage destiny
• The importance of strong families
• Why healthy marriages and engaged parenting matter
• Building generational strength instead of generational dysfunction
• Why children need continued parental connection and guidance
• Genesis 2:18 — “It is not good that man should be alone”
• Why even strong people need community
• The hidden cost of relational disorder
• Loyalty to unhealthy relationships
• The danger of confusing love with unlimited access
• Why difficult conversations are sometimes necessary
• Setting biblical boundaries without becoming bitter
• Romans 16 and avoiding divisive influences
• Titus 3 and dealing with persistent division
• Why everybody should be loved but everybody should not have equal proximity
• Proverbs 13:20 and walking with wise people
• How relationships influence attitudes, thinking, and behavior
• Jesus’ model of different levels of relational access
• Why peace sometimes requires boundaries
• Marriage without competition
• Parenting through leadership instead of reaction
• Friendship through discernment instead of nostalgia
Everybody cannot have the same access to your life.
Jesus loved crowds.
He discipled many.
He chose twelve.
And even among the twelve, Peter, James, and John had a different level of proximity.
Love does not require unlimited access.
You can love someone without allowing them to lead you.
You can forgive someone without giving them permission to continually bring confusion into your life.
You can be kind without giving everybody a front-row seat to your destiny.
The Bible repeatedly shows advancement through relationships:
Daniel had Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
David had Jonathan.
Moses had Aaron.
Joshua had Caleb.
Ruth had Naomi.
Esther had Mordecai.
Elijah had Elisha.
Peter had John.
Paul had Silas and Timothy.
And Jesus Himself called people to walk with Him.
Every major move of God in Scripture involved relationship.
One ox can pull weight.
But when two are properly yoked together, they can accomplish far more than the sum of what either could do alone.
That is the power of alignment.
The same is true of geese flying in formation. They share the resistance, rotate leadership, and encourage one another as they travel farther together than one could travel alone.
You need people.
But you need the right people.
People who strengthen your faith.
People who challenge you to grow.
People who speak life.
People who can correct you.
People who celebrate your progress.
People who are moving in the same direction.
The Advance Rhythm reminds us:
Peace stabilizes.
Purge removes.
People align.
Practice sustains.
Physical stewardship strengthens.
Progress proves movement.
Stop trying to pull everything alone.
Get into formation.
Get connected.
Choose proximity wisely.
And ADVANCE.
