Advance 2026: The Advance Rhythm Part 2 | Bishop Vincent Mathews

You can pray about moving forward, intend to move forward, and talk about moving forward—but eventually, you have to get up and move.

In Advance 2026: The Advance Rhythm Part 2, Bishop Vincent Mathews continues the rule of life for moving forward with God and challenges us to identify the mountains, weights, habits, relationships, and thought patterns keeping us stuck.

The foundation remains Deuteronomy:

“You have gone around this mountain long enough. Now move forward.”

The question is:

What mountain have you been circling?

Familiar does not mean assigned.

Your history is not your destiny.

Your pain is not your identity.

Survival is not the final definition of success.

God did not bring you out simply so you could spend the rest of your life defining yourself by what you survived.

He is calling you forward.

IN THIS MESSAGE:

• Why inertia keeps people stuck

• Why staying still eventually makes things worse

• Why change requires force

• Why rhythm is necessary to sustain progress

• Identifying the mountain you keep circling

• The danger of confusing history with destiny

• Why trauma should not become identity

• Moving beyond survival into purpose

• Why people become comfortable with dysfunction

• The danger of constantly starting and quitting

• Letting go of old versions of yourself

• Relationships tied to seasons you have already outgrown

• Why you cannot heal by continually circling the same mountain

• Purging unnecessary weights

• Closing unhealthy access to your soul

• Breaking old habits and old thought patterns

• Building relationships that support where God is taking you

• Why you cannot win alone

• Measuring actual progress instead of celebrating intentions

Hebrews 12:1 tells us:

“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us.”

Some things are sinful.

Other things are simply heavy.

You may be strong enough to carry them, but that does not mean you were assigned to carry them.

The question is not:

Can I handle this?

The better question is:

Do I need to carry this where God is taking me?

Old habits.

Old thinking.

Old environments.

Old access.

Old relationships.

Old versions of yourself.

Some things must be released so you can advance at full capacity.

And then progress must be measured.

2 Corinthians 13:5 says:

“Examine yourselves.”

What has actually changed?

Where is the fruit?

What are you doing differently?

Are you repeating the same story with a different calendar year?

Feelings do not prove growth.

Fruit does.

The Advance Rhythm gives us a framework:

Peace settles the soul.

Purge removes the weight.

People change proximity.

Practice builds consistency.

Physical stewardship restores stamina.

Progress proves movement.

And rhythm prevents relapse.

Your assignment this week:

Identify one mountain.

Choose one thing to purge.

Take one measurable step forward.

You have circled long enough.

It is time to ADVANCE.
